The rain stayed away and it was a beautiful day on Saturday for Mark and Jocelyn's wedding.

Jocelyn's stunning dress was from White Lily Couture. The ceremony was at St Mary's Kangaroo Point followed by afternoon tea for the guests in the gardens of St Mary's. The reception was at Baguette Bistrot + Bar on Racecourse Road, Ascot.

The car's for Jocelyn and Mark's wedding were extra special with Jocelyn being driven in her dad's Chrevelot

Wow what a small world Brisbane is... Chris went to school with Jocelyn's brother-in-law and used to work with Jocelyn's sister. Congratulations Mark and Jocelyn!

Recently we had the pleasure of doing a styled photo shoot for the wonderful and talented women in Songbirds for their marketing campaign. Songbirds III sees seven talented women take to the stage, telling stories of love, loss and new beginnings, through song - combining the confrontation and intimacy of cabaret with the over- the-top entertainment of musical theatre. Some of Brisbane's most talented singers will perform everyone's favourite hits from the classics to the latest shows on Broadway - taking their audience on a journey of laughter to tears and back again. Featuring Alice Barbery, Kellie Ireland, Natalie Ridoutt, Alison McLennan, Rhiannon Moushal, Laura Coutts and Rebekah Godbold. You can purchase tickets directly from Judith Wright Centre. It is always a privilege when we are asked by friends to photograph their wedding and even a greater privilege for us to be part of their special day. Wow what a day... Linda looked absolutely stunning in her Elizabeth de Varga dress and Blaike (who looked great in his Anna Marie & Mr John suit) was certainly close to tears as Linda's mum and dad walked her down the aisle at Hillstone St Lucia. After a beautiful ceremony we all piled into the Limo for a location shoot. It was so much fun and apologies to all of the random Allan's and Steve's out there on the day! Back to the reception at Hillstone, and Linda found out where she was going on her surprise honeymoon - well done Blaike, Thailand and Bali. Thanks Linda and Blaike for letting us share in your beautiful wedding day, we had a ball.

Father of the Bride...

It's not every day that you get to photograph the wedding of another photographer's daughter. Make them a triple master photographer and throw in three other masters' as guests and a handful of other extremely accomplished and respected Brisbane photographers and you can see where we are heading. There were some pretty high expectations to live up to, but we treated the day like every other bride and groom and every other father and mother of the bride. I'm sure you will love these shots of the father of the bride playing up to the camera!

Introducing Little Miss Grace

Wow! What a week

Wow! What a week!!!! Last Sunday we hit the road and travelled to the Gold Coast for the first session at this years August Exposure Professional Photography Conference. Well it certainly didn't disappoint, Lawrence Chan was the first international speaker talking about social media and perception. Lawrence is from LA and writes a great blog for smart photographers which is pretty cool. On Monday we had our second international speaker Heather Evans-Smith who was very inspirational and her style is just amazing. Heather's work is truely beautiful, one of a kind and certainly inspired some of us to get in on the act and produce some self portraits.

On Tuesday we gave our workshop to a number of enthustiac newcomers to business. It was well received (well that's what they told us!). It's just our way of giving a little back to our fantastic photography industry.

The rest of the week we had other amazing Australian speakers teaching and inspiring us to do bigger and better. It truly is a fantastic conference with nothing else in Australia like it and we are just grateful to be part of it... Till next year!

What a day! We started the day visiting Justin at his best man's brand new house where the boys looked smashing and were looking like they would enjoy their gift of Johnny Walker Black Label scotch. We then headed off to Jennifer where it was a hive of activity in preparation for the Tea Ceremony. With furniture moved and the boys passing their tests to enter through the front door, Jennifer was walked into their own lounge room by her dad to see Justin and their guests. After the Tea Ceremony it was time for a civil ceremony at Broadway Chapel. We then headed to Bistrot Bistro for some casual drinks. The cake was certainly the centre piece when you walked into their reception room at Royal on the Park - wow! Thanks for a fantastic day Jennifer and Justin. Enjoy

AIPP National Awards 2011

Over the weekend the Australian Professional Photography Awards were judged in Sydney. It was a record number of entries with nearly 3,200 entries by 853 fellow photographers, so the competition was tough. The images are judged by a panel of the best photographers from Australia and around the world. Although we weren't in Sydney we spent a tense three days watching the entries being judged via live stream video in order to see the scores and hear the judges comments.

Congratulations to Chris who was awarded a Silver Award in the Illustrative category for his wonderful image of Kellie (yes she is up a tree in her wedding dress!). This also means that Chris will be awarded his Associate ship of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). This is a great achievement and well deserved.

Congratulations also to Michelle Thomas who entered the awards for the first time and was awarded two Silver Awards in the Portrait General category for her beautiful images of Miss J and Miss M. Thank you to all of our clients, friends and family for their congratulations and support over the last 12 months.

2010 Epson QLD AIPP Awards!

Hi all,

We are proud to announce our recent success at the 2010 Epson AIPP Queensland Professional Photography Awards. Chris came home with four awards, three Silver with Distinctions, and a Silver award. This is a fantastic result, and we are over the moon with the result! We will release the images once the national awards process is finalised, but we are keeping these award winners under wraps until late June! Hiya there everybody!

Welcome to our first post of 2010! We have been a little slack in getting some of this year's work up, BUT, we have a good excuse. We moved into our new studio in January, AND, out baby daughter arrived late in February! I'll post a pic of her shortly. Below is a very casual shoot we did for the "Little Creatures", a local Brisbane band. You should definitely get along to see them. This is not one of the band's public profile photographs, I thought they both looked like escaped inmates, so I thought we would have some fun! Disturbing is not a strong enough word for it!

Kylie and Mark are a wonderful relaxed couple, who were very graceful under fire (of the weather!!), and wouldn't let a little rain get in the way of their wonderful union.
